High School Seniors Awarded Scholarships at CISCO’s 2024 Annual Luncheon

LOMBARD – Five high school seniors were honored with scholarship for their academic and civic involvement at CISCO’s 2024 Annual Luncheon.

Isabella Connelly

2024 CISCO Annual Luncheon
Isabella Connelly received a 4-year scholarship. Her father is a member of the Chicago-based IBEW Local 134.

Isabella Connelly is set to graduate from Lake Central High School in St. John, Indiana. She wants to focus on surgically correcting cleft palates on children living in underprivileged countries, giving them an opportunity to be adopted into loving families.

Teresa Salazar

2024 CISCO Annual Luncheon
Teresa Salazar received a 4-year scholarship. Her father is a member of Mid-America Carpenters Regional Council from Local 250.

Teresa Salazar is set to graduate from Waubonsie Valley High School in Aurora. She is passionate about being an example for young minority students pursuing a legal career. She has goals of become a prosecutor, then running for the Office of State’s Attorney.

Diana Barrientos

2024 CISCO Annual Luncheon
Diana Barrientos received a 4-year scholarship. Her father is a member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 21.

Diana Barrientos is set to graduate from Lake View High School in Chicago. She is focused on owning and operating a café shop in the heart of Chicago.

Ava Brassard

2024 CISCO Annual Luncheon
Ava Brassard received a 2-year scholarship. Her father is a member of the Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local 21.

Ava Brassard is set to graduate from Gardner South Wilmington South High School in Gardner. While attending Grundy Area Vocational Center, Ava has earned her Certified Nursing Assistant Certificate; EKG License and CMA Certificate. Currently, her CNA license is pending through Grundy Area Vocational Center.

Amanda Manriquez

2024 CISCO Annual Luncheon
Amanda Manriquez received a 2-year scholarship. Her father is a member of Roofers and Waterproofers Local 11.

Amanda Manriquez is set to graduate from Oak Lawn Community High School in Oak Lawn. Her passion for helping and caring for others is a catalyst for a career in psychology where she can counsel families and couples. Roofers and Waterproofers Local 11 also surprised Amanda with a matching scholarship for her higher education!
