CISCO Golf Outing Donation

BURR RIDGE – CISCO is extremely proud of ALL its members who supported our September Golf Outing. Your sponsorships, raffle ticket sales and monetary donations allow us to financially support Gateway To Learning, which provides lifelong learning for adults with intellectual challenges and developmental disabilities. CISCO Executive Director Dan Allen is pictured with several GTL participants inside Dorothy’s Sweet Shoppe, where participants bake and sell Barley’s Biscuits for our 4-legged friends, and desserts for our human friends.

CISCO Nourishing Hope Golf Outing Donation

CISCO also donates to Nourishing Hope, one of the largest and longest operating hunger relief organizations in Chicago. With the suspension of SNAP benefits, there has been an increase of families and children experiencing food insecurity. Mayor Brandon Johnson City of Chicago – Government visited Nourishing Hope’s food pantry Nov. 2 to discuss the impact of the federal shutdown on food banks and SNAP recipients. During the visit, he met with staff, toured the facility, and helped distribute food boxes to community members. The visit was part of the city’s effort to support residents facing food insecurity, which includes connecting them with resources.
